The Eagle River Chain of Lakes- is the largest chain of lakes in the world, consisting of two groupings of lakes—one on the Eagle River side and the other on the Three Lakes side. That means twenty-eight lakes in all. Boating the entire chain of lakes takes a full day and has been done by the proprietors on both a pontoon boat and jet skis. The trip includes a “lift” across the dam between Eagle River and Three Lakes. There are numerous restaurants, fueling points, and bars along the way to make sure you can boat trouble free and with a “full tank.”
What’s Nearby? Lots!
• Wild Eagle Corners Store--Just a 1/4 mile west of the Cabin offers live bait, licenses, gas, beer, liquor, and a limited assortment of groceries. Most importantly, they know what is biting, where, and on what kind of bait.
• Heckel’s—Located on the west side of Eagle River and just a few lakes away. Rent a speed boat, fishing boat, jet ski, or a pontoon boat by the day or by the week. Just minutes away by water. Rent at Heckel’s and tie it up on your own private dock at The Cabin.
• Sweet Water Restaurant--Get there by car or by water. Serving lunch and dinner with a live rock band on Sunday afternoons.
• Eagle Waters Restaurant--Great food, but the best is their Sunday Champagne Brunch. Start with Eagle Water’s famous Bloody Mary and then loosen your belt for the best brunch you ever had. Save room for dessert! Located on the water with docking available.
